Porchlight

Google third-party disclosure

We run your Google Ads. Here is what Google requires us to tell you.

Porchlight is a third party: we manage Google Ads campaigns on behalf of the businesses we work for. Google's third-party policy sets out what a business in that position must disclose to its clients. This page is that disclosure.

The exact Google cost is reported separately

Every invoice and every report shows two amounts as two lines, in the same size: the amount that went to Google as your advertising, and our management fee. The Google amount is the exact figure Google charged for your ads in the period — not a rounded number, not an estimate, and never blended into a single price. The price sheet shows the same split before you buy.

What we charge, and what it's for

Our management fee is a fixed amount per period, stated on the price sheet and on every invoice. It pays for setting up and running your campaign, your website and your Google Business Profile, and for the report that counts who tapped to call you and who asked for a quote. It does not change with how much Google charges.

Advertising money you have paid for a period that Google does not spend carries forward to your next period. We do not keep it.

Where the money goes

You pay Porchlight, up front, for each period before it runs. We pay Google for your ads out of that. Nothing runs on money you haven't paid, and nothing is ever owed. If you want to see what Google charged for a period, ask and we'll show you the account's own figures for your campaign.

Your account, your name

The website is yours to keep, the domain is registered in your name, and the Google Business Profile is yours. If you stop working with us, all three stay with you.

Google is not Porchlight

We are not Google, and we don't speak for Google. Google's own terms and policies apply to the advertising, and you can read them, and contact Google about a third party, at Google's third-party policy page.
